We welcome you to the world of meta7 and hope you will enjoy the possibilities of a free and innovative virtual world.
Like any other Community meta7 does also recognize the need of Community Standards which will help preventing conflicts between users within this Community.
In consideration of our metazens, who are used to certain Standards and Policies on other communities, we have also created our Community Standards which set out behaviors, that will result in suspension or, with repeated violations, expulsion from the meta7 Community.
All meta7 Community Standards apply to all areas of meta7, including the meta7 Forums, the meta7 World and the meta7 Website.
Policies and Policing
Global Standards, Local Ratings
All areas of meta7, including the www.meta7.com website and the meta7 Forums, adhere to the same Community Standards. Regions within meta7 are noted as Safe or Unsafe and should be designated by the meta7 account holder as either "Adult," "Mature" or "PG". Metazen behavior within each region must conform to the respective local rating.
Warning, Suspension, Banishment
meta7 is a complex society, and it can take some time for new Metazens to gain a full understanding of local customs and mores. Generally, violations of the Community Standards will first result in a Warning, followed by Suspension and eventual Banishment from meta7.
Global Attacks
Objects, scripts, or actions which broadly interfere with or disrupt the meta7 community, the meta7 servers or other systems related to meta7 will not be tolerated in any form. We will hold you responsible for any actions you take, or that are taken by objects or scripts that belong to you. Sandboxes are available for testing objects and scripts that have components that may be unmanageable or whose behavior you may not be able to predict. If you chose to use a script that substantially disrupts the operation of meta7, disciplinary actions will result in a minimum two-week suspension, the possible loss of in-world inventory, and a review of your account for probable expulsion from meta7.
Alternate Accounts
While Metazens may choose to play meta7 with more than one account, specifically or consistently using an alternate account to harass other Metazens or violate the Community Standards is not acceptable. Alternate accounts are generally treated as separate from a Metazen's principal account, but misuse of alternate accounts can and will result in disciplinary action on the principal account.
Buyer Beware
Magne Metaverse does not exercise editorial control over the content of meta7, and will make no specific efforts to review the textures, objects, sounds or other content created within meta7. Additionally, Magne Metaverse does not certify or endorse the operation of in-world games, vending machines, or retail locations; refunds must be requested from the owners of these objects.
Reporting Abuse
Metazens should report violations of the Community Standards using the Support Ticket Portal located on http://support.meta7.com accessible through an Internet Browser. We review these abuse reports, and the identity of the reporter is kept strictly confidential.

- Intolerance
Combating intolerance is one of the main cornerstones of meta7's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the meta7 Community as a whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another metazen's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in meta7.- Harassment
Harassment can take many forms considering the technical possibilities within the meta7 world. Communicating or behaving in an offensive manner, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment!- Assault
Most areas in meta7 are identified as Safe. Assault in meta7 means: shooting, pushing, or shoving another metazen in a Safe Area (see Global Standards below); creating or using scripted objects which singularly or persistently target another metazen in a manner which prevents their enjoyment of meta7.- Disclosure
Metazens are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their meta7 experience. Sharing personal information about a fellow Metazen --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Metazen in the First Life page of their Metazen profile is a violation of that Metazen's privacy. Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in meta7 and on the meta7 Forums.- Adult Regions, Groups, and Listings
meta7 is an adult community, but "Adult" content, activity and communication are not permitted on meta7 PG and Mature Regions. Such material is permitted on Private Regions, or on Adult Regions. In either case, any Adult content, activity, or communication, that falls under our Adult Maturity Definition must be on Regions designated as "Adult". Other regions may be designated as either "Mature" or "PG". For more information on how to designate land, events, groups, and classified listings, please carefully read the Maturity Definitions.- Disturbing the Peace
Every Metazen has a right to live in piece on meta7. Disrupting scheduled events, repeated transmission of undesired advertising content, the use of repetitive sounds, following or self-spawning items, or other objects that intentionally slow server performance or inhibit another Metazen's ability to enjoy meta7 are examples of Disturbing the Peace.
